Did you know there are multiple types of Orioles in Wisconsin? We have Orchard and Baltimore Orioles that we see and hear. Both are equally beautiful in song and sight. Their orange colorations are the perfect inspiration for added color coming into spring.
The March block for the 2020 Monthly Color Challenge from Patterns By Jen is inspired by the oriole and color orange. As with all months, Jen presented 3 ways to make the blocks - with a white background, black background, and contrasting light/dark colors of the monthly color. I have chosen to use the light/dark approach each month. Here is my block along with a photo of winning thread chicken.
You can barely see where that thread ends. Hanging by a thread?? Ha!
